About

Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, and the spaces in between.

As an artist, my work centers around our complex relationship with the Earth and finding my own place within the flow of nature. While the nature of photography means that all of the places pictured are real, they’re removed from time by the lens and rendered as mute representations of places that are both everywhere and nowhere. These photos are extensions of my own memories and experiences from the various places I could conceivably call home.

As an educator, it is my goal to help students find their creative voice through photography, help them build strong and lasting ties to their art community, and provide opportunities for young artists to showcase their work in both traditional and non-traditional gallery spaces. I believe that it is through engagement with the larger arts community that students build the foundation for a creatively centered life and career.
