Eco-Systems

An exploration of the small worlds living within the bigger picture.

Look around and you’ll find nature making use of the pieces of ourselves which are left behind.

This project was created while in residency at the Golden Apple Art Residency in Harrington, ME during the summer of 2014. I wanted to explore the idea that nature is relentlessly adaptable in the face of the massive upheavals which we humans have enacted upon the landscape. Human influence touches every part of the globe and our detritus has built up in enough quantities that it is now becoming a part of the larger ecological system. The photos show a wild landscape and the human elements found within them.
